Pyrostop 6 is a dielectric, inert, non toxic and non flammable gas. It is intended for use as an arc breaker or as a covering agent to prevent the ignition of magnesium. It is used in the following sectors: high-voltage circuit breakers, shielded high-voltage substations, particle accelerators, metallurgy (magnesium blanket).
Pyrostop 6 (SF6) is a stable and inert gas. It has no aggressive impact on the materials with which it is brought into contact.
It complies with the IEC 60376 standard.
