R-402A is a zeotropic "service blend", it's use being limited in time by the Montreal Protocol. R-402A is a HCFC developed to replace R-502 (CFC) in commercial and industrial applications.

It is preferable to use this refrigerant for the reconversion of refrigeration units of supermarkets, refrigerated storage rooms, food freezing systems and cooling cabinets for refrigerated food.
