R-402B is a zeotropic "service blend", it's use being limited in time by the Montreal Protocol. R-402B is a HCFC developed to replace R-502 (CFC) in commercial and industrial applications.

It is preferable to use this refrigerant for the reconversion of ice-making plants, refrigeration units of supermarkets, refrigerated storage rooms, food freezing systems and cooling cabinets for refrigerated food.
