R-456A is a non-flammable blend of hydrofluorocarbons and hydrofluoro-olefins designed to replace R-134a in automotive air conditioning applications.

R-456A (GWP = 626*) has been developed to extend the availability of R-134a in automotive air conditioning systems, with a GWP at least 50% lower, while increasing the cooling capacity of older vehicles.
